You can add and remove students from the Students tab in your teacher view.
Open the app. Tap your teacher avatar and enter your password. This will direct you to the Students tab in the teacher view as shown in the image below.
- To add a student, tap Add Students.
- To delete a student, tap Delete Student.
You will have the ability to perform bulk actions, meaning you can add multiple students and delete all students if you'd like.
Note: If you have created your account with Clever, you won't see these options in the app. You'll need to add/remove students a different way. Scroll down to learn more.
If you use Khan Academy Kids with Clever, you will not see a button that says "Add Students" or "Delete Student." Since your roster is synced with Clever, you are unable to add or delete students manually. Instead, you'll need to sign out of the Khan Kids app and then sign back in through Clever to initiate a roster sync. Afterward, the student name will appear in the Khan Kids app on the teacher side, and the student will be able to sign in on their device.
Here are step-by-step instructions to sync the roster:
- On the teacher device, open the Khan Kids app and tap Sign Out in the top right corner.
- Open a web browser (still on the mobile device).
- Go to clever.com and sign in as a teacher.
- Tap the Khan Kids icon.
- The Khan Kids app should open. You should now see your updated roster!
