We’ve heard from our users that many of you are quickly transitioning to full-time homeschooling. We’d like to help by providing daily at-home activities that you can complete with your child! Our mobile app, Khan Academy Kids, is always available as a free learning resource. However, we realize that many remote learning options require a device, and we know it’s important to limit screen time. These printable activities offer an off-screen learning option for families to enjoy.
Each day of the week has a “theme,” where we will focus on different educational subjects. Many activities include a cover page with directions, alignment with Common Core State Standards, and suggestions for making the activity easier or more difficult.
Math Mondays: Learn about numbers and shapes.
Tongue Twister Tuesdays: Learn about letters and letter sounds.
Writing Workshop Wednesdays: Draw, color, and write with Khan Academy Kids. Practice sounding out words and engaging with books to answer prompts.
Thoughtful Thursdays: Learn about the world around us through observation and thinking. Thoughtful Thursdays will cycle through science, social-emotional, and critical thinking activities.
Fun Fridays: Have fun while you learn and grow!
What if I don’t have a printer?
Most of our activities are intended to be easily adaptable without a printer. Some activities will have a cover page where we detail how to complete the activity with common household items, or even just a piece of paper and a writing utensil. Materials that will be helpful include: paper, markers, pencils, and scissors.
- Wednesday, March 25: Writing and Coloring with “Sidewalk Chalk”
- Thursday, March 26: Using Super Powers in Times of Change!
- Friday, March 27: Storytelling with Khan Kids Cutouts
More activities will be added on a regular basis!
