Why is email verification required?
A parent email account is required to save learning progress in the app. An email account also enables users to restore a learner's progress if they delete the app or switch devices.
Tap the blue button to confirm the email verification message
When signing up for a new Khan Kids account, you'll need to verify your email address. Check your email account for a message that says "Please Confirm Your Email Address for Khan Academy Kids" in the subject line, and then tap the blue button that says "Verify Email," shown below.
Note: If the blue button is not visible, please enable images and links on your email client.
If you are unable to verify, check the internet connection
If you tap the "Verify Email" button and receive an error that says, "Sorry, unable to verify your email at the moment," please check the internet connection on your device to make sure wifi is enabled during the verification process. You can also try switching networks on your device, and then trying verification again.
If you did not receive the verification email, please check the following:
- Search your email for a message from Khan Academy Kids (khankids@khanacademy.org) to ensure that the verification email did not get routed to your spam folder.
- Check your internet connection to make sure wifi was enabled during the verification process. An internet speed test can be completed here.
- Try resending the verification email again by opening the app to the screen with the pink character. Tap "Resend Email".
