When using Khan Academy Kids for the first time, parents will be prompted to sign up for an account using a parent’s email address. If you’re an existing Khan Kids user and want help logging in, please proceed here.
Why do I need an email account?
A parent email account is required to save and personalize the learning experience for each child so they can learn concepts at their own pace. An email account also enables users to restore their progress if they delete the app or switch devices.
Can I use my Khan Academy account?
Please note that the Khan Academy Kids mobile app for children ages 2-8 is separate from the Khan Academy website. Accounts for Khan Academy and Khan Academy Kids are not linked. Sign up for a new account to activate the Khan Academy Kids mobile app.
New users
1. Parents can download the app onto a device and select the green "At Home" button. If you are a teacher, go here to follow the instructions for classrooms.

2. New users will be prompted to Sign Up to create an account. Enter an email address and create a password on the right, or sign in with your Google or Apple account on the left.
3. If you entered your email manually on the right, check your email account for a message from Khan Academy Kids. Tap the blue button on the verification email to activate your Khan Academy Kids account. If you did not receive an email, please check these steps.
4. Set up your user profiles by entering the child’s name, age, and avatar. If you have more than one child, multiple user profiles can be added for each child.
5. In the days following your account creation, parents will receive an email to confirm that they signed up for the app and are aware of our privacy policy.
Existing users
1. If you already have a Khan Academy Kids account, select Sign In (instead of Sign Up) on the sign-in screen.
2. Enter your account email address and password on the right, or sign in with your Google or Apple account on the left.
3. If you sign in manually and have forgotten your password, select "Or Set Password" underneath the "Continue" button to recover it.
