Khan Academy Kids has books and activities all the way up to second grade. The books are written at a second-grade reading level, and they follow our colorful cast of characters as they learn how to work together, discuss differences, and regulate tough emotions. We have hundreds of 2nd grade lessons, too—all aligned to math and ELA standards. Kodi bear shows how to tell time, capitalize proper nouns, solve word problems, and more. Click here to browse through pictures of our 2nd grade lessons.
Every book and activity is available in the Library, ready for you to assign to your class.
Overview of second-grade books and activities
Non-fiction books
Non-fiction texts come alive with subjects like the Tyrannosaurus rex and the great white shark, where you'll find lessons about animal diets and predators. Students can go on a journey around the world with our series on the seven continents. We’ll practice reading maps while learning about unique plants and animals in each place!
